It takes a lot to stand out on the Vegas Strip. Luxury hotels strive for supremacy, each trying to outdo the other with larger shows, bigger rooms and more fabulous restaurants. These two incredible properties (Encore just opened in February 2009) are above and beyond luxury. From the moment you arrive you know that this is somewhere special. There are so many dining opportunities it really is hard to leave - Japanese, Italian, American, Chinese, French and all world class. The flagship fine dining restaurant is Alex, current holder of two Michelin stars and run by Head Chef Alessandro Stratta. Wing Lei by Richard Chen is the only Chinese restaurant in North America to receive a Michelin star. This is the kind of quality that Wynn has under one roof.

Do try Botero's at Encore an American Steakhouse in the most sumptuous of surroundings. The steaks here are incredible as are the desserts. Everything at this hotel oozes elegance and class.

The rooms are generous too, floor to ceiling windows looking out over The Strip or golf course. Large bathrooms with his and hers sinks, walk in shower and separate tubs with flat screen TV in the wall. All very Vegas!

Take a walk to the pool area and you can choose from the Cabanas or head over to the European pool, over 21's and topless allowed. When you've finished relaxing a poolside massage is available in case things get too strenuous, or you can opt for the sanctuary of the Spa for more individual treatments.

Of course a visit to Vegas wouldn’t be complete without taking in a show and The Wynn has one of the best. Le Rève is an aquatic ballet that borders on the breathtaking. The best seats are inclusive of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries worth every penny.

As for the gambling, well take it or leave it. There is so much more to offer than just roulette. Designer shopping, top class Nightclubs, great food, you need never leave.
