Oxford Sandy & BlackSet in the heart of rural Monmouthshire, Trealy Farm are makers of the finest charcuterie in Wales. Their range of products includes air dried hams, loins and pancetta and the best chorizo I have ever tasted.

Traditionally cured bacon and ham are also made here. As suppliers to some of the best restaurants in the area; 1861, The Hardwick and The Chandlery as well as further afield, to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage.

Their pedigree is obvious from the moment you taste some of their products. Using locallyTrealy Farm Charcuterie sourced farmers and speciality breed pigs such as the Oxford Sandy and Black that I met on the farm, they are able to watch over the product from start to completion. They don’t just have pork on the farm, venison, beef and goat are also utilised.

They combine traditional methods of curing, smoking and air-drying with innovation and technology inspired by training with charcuterie makers across Europe. British and continental-style fresh and cooked sausages are produces on site as well as traditionally cured bacons and hams. The range also includes air-dried products rarely made in the UK such as chorizos, air-dried hams, loins and pancetta and a range of salamis including the lightly smoked snack-sized ‘snack salami’ and cabanos.

Trealy Farm CharcuterieThey have been in business for four years now and are going from strength to strength, Great Taste and True Taste award winning and as quoted by Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall "makers of the finest artisan charcuterie in the UK". High praise indeed! The passion that goes into their produce is plain to see, family run and with 3 partners, James, Graham and John their strength lies in their individuality and the fact that the business is run on a working farm with the animals running freely around them. Don’t just take my word for it, hunt them down at your local Farmers Market or you will have missed a true taste of Wales and the best that we have to offer. As mainly suppliers to the restaurant and wholesale trade the only way to catch up with Trealy Farm produce is at Farmers Markets, like Usk, Cardiff Riverside and Bristol Slow Food Market.

As friends of ‘Couples Without Kids’ Trealy Farm are offering free delivery on one of their £50.00 charcuterie products if you mention us when you order.
