 Paris, ‘La Ville- Lumiere’. Only a short flight away from the U.K lies The City of Light. A wonderful bustling city, teeming with great restaurants and amazing attractions.
Of course the obvious must see is the Eiffel Tower but why not dine in the tower itself? In Altitude 95 every table is facing out over Paris by night. The food isn’t fantastic but as an experience it’s worth every penny.
But food is where Paris’ true strength lies. Pierre Gagnaire’s eponymous Paris restaurant boasts 3 Michelin stars. The French maestro is also opening 2 new ventures in Seoul and Dubai. So much more could be written about French cuisine and it probably has but, from the simplest Bistro to the high echelons of fine dining. Paris has something for everyone. The Pattisserie’s are worth a day’s exploration in themselves as are the Boulangeries.
But this city has so much more to offer. The Arc de Triomphe, The Champs-Elysees and Napoleons Tomb are all worth stumbling upon. Take a river taxi to the Louvre (in my opinion a must see) and the Sacre Coeur.
Paris is a city for lovers they say, I say it is a city for everyone to enjoy.
