Sooner or later though you have to return. Beverages and homemade cakes are ready for your return and the chance to catch up with fellow guests and discuss the day’s activities.
In the evening if you don’t want to venture far, and weather permitting, then why not take a bottle of something chilled out onto the terrace and try the light evening menu? Smoked meats, speciality cheeses all locally sourced – fabulous!
They do say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and at No.43 this is no exception. A lovingly prepared meal that will set you up for anything the world has to throw at you. Cured bacon and fresh sausages from local Sillfield Farm. Artisan baked breads, organic eggs and freshly brewed coffee and tea. What more could you ask for?
No.43 is a real find and a break here is well recommended. Now in the Top Ten percent of Guesthouses in the country, Lesley is justifiably proud of her accomplishments. Victorian on the outside, it oozes contemporary chic on the inside. You would be hard pressed to find a destination in the Lake District as good as this. Away from the maddening crowds long may it continue to attract the rambler and romantic to its welcoming door.
